Picture update

it's useful to make friends!

sunny 18 °C

Ah, an English keyboard!!!

Darrin and his mom have gone up the Klein Matterhorn today with the group but I stayed back in the city...too many high altitude trips for me in a row! Of course, now I've spent around 150 francs instead...bought a pair of eidelweiss earrings...that was the most expensive part!

The bonus was that another Globus traveller wanted me to look after his computer while they went, and he said I could use his internet if I wanted to!

This means I can upload a whole bunch of pictures.

So...here they are!

zermatt_parade.jpg
Zermatt folklore parade...these alphorns sound neat, but I think they only know two songs, and after hearing them all day, they can get a little tiresome! (We even went to sleep hearing them!)

That's it!

I'll try to call soon. (And as you may have noticed, the weather has improved this afternoon!)

The pictures are great Tracy. It soounds like you sure are enjoying your trip. Don't worry I won't tell Mom about Pogo & all the great games besides Bingo, the great jokes you get sent on the internet - how you can keep in touch anywhere- just like you are. ;o) Don't be surprised if she tells you she can't find your laptop when you get home!!! :o) Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Aunty Lorraine just told me of your beautiful pictures--I could just sing Edelweiss right now and can hear those alpenhorns belting out and can almost see the slapdancers!!! Your pictures are just wonderful -- you've done a great job!!!

If the weather is ok tomorrow we just might go to Lynden Fair as Thursday it is supposed to rain. Hope you have good weather ahead for the remainder of your trip so that you can continue to take amazing pictures!!!

I could almost see the "Griswold" family in all those pictures. Did you buy yourself a slapdancers outfit and a hat with a big long feather on it?????LOL

Take care, and Dad sends his best! Loads of Love, MOM and DADxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

HI Trace,

Today Dad and I went to WalMart and bought some things I needed, had some lunch there and then came home.

Last night Dad and I went out on the deck to see if we could see any meteors -- guess how many we seen -- zippo!!! We were only out there for half an hour though as clouds came in and was damp and cold.

Today I woke up with a very sore neck that went down across my shoulder so I'll rub some cream on it, and hopefully it will feel better tomorrow.

Vancouver's garbage strike is in its fourth week. They hardly have any talks and the public is getting annoyed.

We are going to go to the Lynden Fair tomorrow-- the weather is supposed to be sunny and warm -- so I'll write a note when we get home. We'll leave around 7 a.m. and go for breakfast in Lynden and then get a good parking spot. It should be fun!!!

I see you go to Lucerne and see the bear pit that Barb wasn't too pleased with because of how the bears were kept.-- are you going to sign up for the folklore party with yodeling and alphorn blowing and "merrymaking"? Sign me up too!!!!!!!!!!

Have a wonderful time and take care. Thinking of you lots!!

Love, MOM and DAD xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
